Sunday Programmes

We love and value kids at St Stephen’s and have great programmes for them, catering for ages 0 – 13 years.

Our leaders are committed to the Lord Jesus and to the faithful teaching of His word to the next generation.

We work to equip our leaders to teach the truth of God’s word in a fun and age appropriate way.

There are lots of books, toys and games for the children to play with while they’re in Creche.

Parents are welcome to stay and settle their children if they wish to.  Parents need to sign their children in and out of the programme.

If your child has any special needs, allergies or dietary restrictions, please pass on to the leaders when you drop them off.

JAM Drops is currently combined with JAM Club.

They join together for the first half of the programme and then go into groups for discussion and craft time.

See JAM Club for what happens during the programme.

We aim to teach through different books of the Bible in an age appropriate way – and we have lots of fun along the way!

The programme usually includes singing, games, learning bible verses, bible stories, discussion groups and craft.

The leaders will take the kids out to the programme and bring them back at the end.

Pathfinders seeks to grow both a greater love of Jesus and knowledge of the Bible in the hearts of the youth through an in-depth Bible Study.

We also hope to equip them as they move into the Sunday Service which means it doesn’t run in the school holidays.

The leaders will take the kids out to the programme and bring them back at the end.

Where are the programmes held?

When do the kids go out?

The kids usually start in the service at 10:30am and then head out to their programmes after about 15 minutes.

The leaders of JAM Drops, JAM Club and Pathfinders will bring them back at the end about 11:50am.

Parents who have kids in Creche need to drop them off and them pick up at the end of the service.

On the 3rd & 5th Sunday’s of the month (when we have a Communion Service), the kids start out in their groups at 10:30am and then come back to join the congregation for Communion.

If you are new, you are welcome to come out to the programme and help settle your children if needed, or they can stay with you in church.

What happens after church?

Morning tea is available for the kids in the courtyard, at the back of the hall.

There is lots of safe space for the kids to run around outside.  Please keep an eye on your kids after the service, especially in the carpark.

What happens in the School Holidays?

Creche: Carries on as usual.

JAM Drops & JAM Club: A Holiday Programme is run by another great team of leaders.  This will usually include some fun games, watching a video, having a discussion and doing some craft or activities based on the lesson.

Pathfinders: Kids can stay in church.  A Sermon notes/activity sheet is usually available for them.
