Sunday Service

Join us this Sunday at 10:30am for our all aged family service!

We’d love to see you there.

Mairehau High School, 440 Hills Road.

Kids Programmes

We love and value kids at St Stephen’s and have great programmes for them on a Sunday, catering for ages 0 – 13 years.

Our kids usually start in the service and then are invited to head out to their various programmes after about 15 minutes.

You can send your child along, head out with them, or they can stay with you in church.

Our leaders are committed to the Lord Jesus and to the faithful teaching of His word to the next generation.  We work to equip our leaders to teach the truth of God’s word in a fun and age appropriate way.  All of our leaders are police checked and have completed Safe Ministry Training.

Frequently Asked Questions

The service starts at 10:30am.  You are welcome to come earlier to get settled.

Even if the service has already started, you are very welcome to come in and find a seat.

We usually finish around 11:45am, followed by morning tea.  You’re most welcome to stick around and enjoy morning tea and a chat.

To get to the Mairehau High School Hall, come in the Staff Carpark entrance off Hills Road and look for the signs leading you to the main hall.

There is plenty of off-street parking on Hills Road and some on-site parking in the staff carpark. Please consider others when using the staff carpark.

During our church service we usually start in together and the kids leave for their programmes after about 15 minutes.

What does a service look like?  We usually:

  • Sing
  • Hear some notices of things going on and coming up
  • Hear God’s word being read
  • Hear someone give a sermon about the reading
  • Be led in prayer

On the 3rd & 5th Sundays, we have a more formal Communion service.  Kid’s start out in their programmes on those Sundays, and come back to join in for communion.

Make your way to the main hall and there will be someone at the door ready to welcome you.

They can answer any questions you have, help you find a seat and provide you with a copy of our newsletter (and the liturgy if it’s a Communion Service).

We’re a pretty informal bunch, so dress respectfully but comfortably.
